SQL Server Developer with
experience Crystal Reports, ERP
and Reporting urgently sought by
leading company, based in Market
Drayton, Shropshire, West
Midlands to accelerate the work
being done by existing team to
migrate their reporting analysis
to new system. This position is
commutable from Market Drayton,
Stoke-on-Trent,
Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford,
Chester, Shrewsbury, Telford,
Newport and Whitchurch.
In this varied role, the main
responsibilities will revolve
around System Analysis, Design
and Development including:
-Analyses project activities /
enhancement requests for both
business and techincal producing
proposal/design documents for
peer-review. Involves liaising
with both technical (internal and
external) and business people as
appropriate..
-Investigates operational needs
and problems, and opportunities,
recommending improvements
-Specifies user/system interfaces
and translates logical designs
into physical designs taking
account of target environment,
performance requirements and
existing systems. Produces
detailed designs and documents
all work using required
standards, methods and tools,
including prototyping tools where
appropriate.
-Defines the integration build
and produces a build definition
for generation of the software.
-Produces software for loading
onto target hardware from
software source code.
-Configures the hardware
environment, produces integration
test specifications, conducts
tests and records the details of
any failures. Carries out and
reports fault diagnosis relating
to moderately complex problems.
-Creates simple test cases and
test scripts. Interprets and
executes moderately complex test
scripts.

Additional responsibilities may
include service support, service
delivery and availability,
Project delivery and building
good relationships with key
business contacts.

For immediate interview you will
need a high level of expertise in
ERP & Reporting with strong
skills in Crystal Reporting
Presentation / Intranet /
Portal), SQL Server and MS
Access. Application experience
within Logistics / FMCG
environment is beneficial. In
addition you will demonstrate
good oral and written
communications skills, being
effective and persuasive in
presenting technical issues.
